Nicola Maguire

Nicola joined BIBA in 2014 having worked within the industry for over 25 years. Nicola’s career has been a diverse one from claims and risk management to underwriting and strategic change management, now at BIBA, she has gone full circle within the industry. A qualified Chartered Management Institute Fellow (FCMI), Nicola is responsible for BIBA’s overall commercial activities including member engagement, a remit to grow income, and is responsible for all BIBA’s member and insurance services, including the industry’s consumer Find Insurance Service. Nicola also heads up IT/Innovation & Young Talent, making sure BIBA is at the forefront of succession planning for the sector. Nicola is a senior industry figure, a NED as well as a beacon for change in areas such as diversion and inclusion, social mobility, innovation, and improved customer journeys, specifically for the young, old, and vulnerable. Nicola has recently delivered a new talent pipeline programme, rolled out across the UK, focussing on social mobility, something that is close to her heart. Proud to have been listed as a winner for the Elite Women awards, Nicola works alongside many past winners, signifying the strength and ability of senior women in insurance.
